What a simply elegant ring. Crafted from 9ct Yellow Gold, it features a 0.10 carat diamond in a 9ct White Gold illusion setting with cathedral shoulders down to the ring. It has a full set of hallmarks for W.E.G, 9ct Gold, Birmingham) and 1978. The quality and design of this ring is superb.

The diamond in this ring has a lovely sparkle when it catches the light and combined with the setting, it strikes a perfect balance of vintage style and modern wearability. 

ITEM DETAILS

ERA: Vintage (1978)

MEASUREMENTS: Diamond is approx. 3mm.
Setting width is 5.24mm (at its widest point) and around 5.96mm high.
The ring shank itself is 2.3mm wide and 1.15mm in thickness at the base.

WEIGHT: 2.05g

HALLMARKS: 'W.E.G.' Makers Mark; 'Crown and 375' for 9ct Gold; '⚓︎' for Birmingham and 'D' for 1978. (The hallmarks are obscured but viewable under a jewellers loupe).

RING SIZE (IF APPLICABLE): N (with good resizing ability)

CONDITION

Excellent to Very Good. The diamond is still well secured in the setting. There is a little wear to the top of the setting in keeping with the age of the ring. The ring has some slight wear in keeping with the age of the ring.
There is engraving in the ring which is partially obscured but reads 9AD014. There is also another mark stamped into the band on the inside.
